What is included?

There are 5 different picnic offerings, all of which include something different. Click HERE for more details.

Most are full service, all you need to do is show up and enjoy yourself. Packages include different combinations of set-up and clean-up, levels of seating/decor, and food & drink for you and your guests. Please be respectful and use trash/recycling receptacles provided. 

What happens if it rains?

The Local Spread, LLC reserves the right to make cancellations on the day of your picnic due to inclement weather. We will notify you via phone & email to make an attempt to reschedule your picnic for a different day and time, or you have the option to switch your location indoors. If you do not wish to reschedule or change your location, you will be awarded a full refund to your original payment method.

Where can I have my picnic?

You are able to choose any location within the city limits of Newburyport including the north end of Plum Island. Please keep in mind some locations may have additional parking fees that are not included in the cost of your picnic. Due to parking limitations on Plum Island, it is recommended that you save the beach for evening picnics. When the weather is not cooperating, you may host your picnic indoors. Don't forget about those cozy, living room floor picnics!

The Local Spread is open to other locations outside of city limits with prior approval.

What are the food options?

There are multiple menu options, all from local establishments. Reference the MENUS link for available options. Depending on your package, there will be snacks, charcuterie boards, full meals, and desserts included. 

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes! We will do our best to accommodate most dietary needs. Please make a note when completing your booking. The MENUS link will include a note if it accommodates dietary needs.

What if I have more than 10 guests?

All bookings through our website only accommodate up to 10 guests. If you would like to host a picnic with more guests, please reach out via email, thelocalspreadma@gmail.com, for a quote. 

Why should I book a picnic?

Date nights, girls night, engagements, baby/bridal showers, anniversary, birthday, graduation, book clubs, or my favorite excuse, just because!
